Im thinking Jan may be best time to do ultimate as spell, vampire hunt and UNO dont start just yet ????? Thoughts ..then if we think its too much with others we can go down a level

That sounds good to me. Start with ultimate and then cut back if it’s too much in February.

Alright, let’s talk rules… because yes, there are rules. Your level determines your tasks: how many you do and which ones.

Core Task – everyone completes this. Your level doesn't matter here.

"Optional Tasks" – are they really optional? not really. These depend on your difficulty level:

• Easy: Core + Optionals 1 & 2 = 3 tasks
• Medium: Core + Optionals 1–3 = 4 tasks
• Hard: Core + Optionals 1–4 = 5 tasks
• Ultimate: Core + Optionals 1–5 = 6 tasks

💡 Important: No, you do not read one book that counts for all tasks at once. This isn't a Dr. Frankenstein experiment, and you are not creating a monstrous, stitched-together reading abomination. Don't try it… and definitely don't ask the mods about it.

Example – Easy Level (3 books):

• Book 1: MPG Horror
• Book 2: MPG Horror + Published in 2025
• Book 3: MPG Horror + Published in October

Not this:

• Book 1: MPG Horror
• Book 2: MPG Horror + Published in 2025
• Book 3: MPG Horror + Published in 2025 + Published in October

Then, there's the SPELL OUT component... each month has a 6-letter word. Here’s how many letters you complete each month:

• Easy: 6 letters (any option)
• Medium: 6 letters (with 3 restrictions)
• Hard: 6 letters (all restrictions)
• Ultimate: 18 letters (all restrictions ×3) — yes, that means spelling the word three times. You picked Ultimate… don't blame me.

Of course, you don't have to do any of the spell out, but you'll lose points, so… good luck.

So, that’s it… for now. Maybe.

So..
Ultimate: Core + Optionals 1–5 = 6 tasks

Does this mean we all do core , then another 6 between us , or 6 each ( plus core)

6 total, not per person.

So with our cores ..thats only 11...we can manage that 👍😄

At Ultimate its 24. The spell (6 letters x3) and the the 6 Tasks.

I took the first prompt for the Tasks. I'll start it tonight and should finish tomorrow so the next prompt will appear.

Lisa's Answer: Not Necessarily. The core task is what all books must match. Once we finish one, we get the "additional prompt" that must be also applied to the second one.

Moderator Answer: Yes. We must each take one this month and it should be in alphabetical order by Goodreads Name. So MN Lisa is first, Amanda would be next.

Moderator Answer: It does not matter who completes which letters as long as the spellout is complete. Because you asked One spellout justification must restate the obvious.
Example: “Title starts with N. The first letter is N.”

just to clarify, friends--when Lisa finishes Work in Progress, I could read any book I want as long as it's by an author I haven't read and then I add another justification to it? like "more than 300 pages?"

There will be a prompt that shows up. so it will be Read an author you never have Plus whatever shows up
