Earl Ofari (earlofarihutchinson) | 13 comments I know the old masters--Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Haydn, Brahms, Tchaikovsky--get all the attention whenever a top ten list is compiled. But what about the new composers and their compositions. I'm doing a poll of the top ten modern composers of the group members. Give me your top ten favorites.

Timothy Judd | 2 comments It's impossible to make a list of 10 without leaving out a significant composer. We all know the composers whose music has withstood the test of time, and a handful of composers from our own time will join that list, although only time can tell who it will be.

I think it's useful to set category aside and just enjoy the music with an open mind. I try to share thoughts on my favorite music at my blog, The Listeners' Club. Today's post features an impressionistic gem by Maurice Ravel:
