Its like a kids book rght? full of fold-out pamphlets, maps, diagrams, letters, and other intriguing odds and ends, such as a patch of simulated dragon skin.
well it is an illustrated tour of the most interesting peoples, places, and things of Eragon’s world. Eragon narrates the book himself, and if you pay close attention to what he says, you might catch a few hints about where the series is headed. -CP

It's called Ice Blue? I couldn't find it... But I've decided it actually looks pretty interesting.

These books are written by Patricia C. Wrede. The first two are very good and I haven't gotten around to the last two. It's a bit difficult to find them.
I know wikepedia isn't the greatest but this one's not bad... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Searchin...

Anyway, Nightpaw, I didn't know that you were writing that book you told us about! And it sounds really interesting! I kind of like modern-day fantasy/sci-fi.

People at school are probably jealous of it anyhow. :)

No! It really sounds good! It sounds original, and I like the sci-fi part, and how it's in modern days. Those people at school don't know what they're talking about.

- The Dragons of Ordinary Farm (reviewed by Christopher Paolini)

Ice Blue is a story of love, realization, and dragons. A seventeen year old girl named Allissa is working at a scientific base in Antarctica, where she is helping analyze and ice core and working on a secret project, by her own choice. One day she finds a small blue orb, which hatched in her hand upon being picked up. It's a dragon, colored ice blue and not any taller than three centimeters. She tries to communicate with it and eventually learns its language, then gets a call from her boss the next morning saying that the dig has been canceled due to small biting reptiles that had put three team members in serious medical conditions after being bitten. She interrogated her small dragon, and finds out that his 'hatching' caused a chain reaction and now there are hundreds of these small but dangerous dragons trying to take over the human race, by using the venom of select dragons to render humans helpless. Her secret project is the only way to stop them, but she will have to give up her true friend in order to save the world. She'll have to put the ice blue dragon back in the ice.
How does it sound??? I think it's pretty interesting. How about you guys?
