I am uncertain about starting the year about a book with domestic abuse. I am expecting something unsettling at first, which makes me hesitant about reading the book.
Read a few non-book club books first. Nothing says you have to read this book this month or ever. I have skipped book club selections that were potential triggers for me. Hugs.

Hi Dawn - Agree with Julie. There may be books you don't want to read in the club, and that's ok. You read what's right for you, when it's right for you.
