Im just gonna pick up from the store some of the 50 books I'll read in January (人*´∀｀)｡*ﾟ+ so might as well pick the books that would be a 'new author' read for y'all's, to maybe get some more points haha 😆. Ok, bare with me. Not sure how to do this team reading challenge. But, if I read it right, I first want to list some new authors that I haven't read before this year as a challenge? My list would include: Joe Abercrombie (got my eye on "The Devils"Melissa Roehrich (want to read the Legacy Series)
Amber V. Nichole maybe? (Gods & Monsters Series)
and an ambitious new author for me would be John Gwynne (The Bloodsworn triligy)
and for the lighter side I'd like to try some Emily Henry books. I have one already (The Happy Place) but still haven't read any of her stuff.
Now - Do we just post reviews of those authors in the review link? Or any review? What is the exact challenge?

If you've finished your book, you post the cover of the book, the number of pages and your review in the review thread of your group. For an example you can check that in the review thread of your group.

If you reach 5 books, then you get an additional 50 bonus points. For every book above that, you can earn 10 points extra if it's YA or adult, 5 points if it's another category.
F.e. 7 books are 70 extra bonus points for YA/adult.

Hi All! I am getting ready to read 2 new books this week and wondered if anyone was interested in a buddy read. I'm not sure how that logistically works, but I do know I love to talk about the books I am reading - so if interested let me know what the "rules" are about buddy reading. I usually wrap up a book in about 1 week and I for these two books I will be immersive reading kind of swapping off between some audio and some physical copy reading. The two books are 1. Vicsious by V.E Schwab. This is a new author for me. It is 400 pages and considered contemporary fantasy/sci-fi. The second book I am going to start on is Babel by R.F Kuang. This is not a new author for me and I only thought her other book was "meh", but I have to find out what all the glowing reviews are on this book. It is 560 pages and is considered historical fantasy/epic fantasy. I'm starting tonight, so if interested, let me know. Thanks!

Yay! I've already started, in fact I'm about 75% but I would be glad to hang back to allow you to catch up. I'm in no rush, I've got a couple other books I'm working on. This is a great one to talk about - it's a heavy read. Thank you for helping me out.
Later this week, I am going to start reading 2 books to finish up my January library book haul. Book 1 is The Familiar by Leigh Bardugo, this is not a new author for me, but I like her Shadow and Bone series so excited to read, and Book 2 is Legends and Lattes by Travis Baldree, who is a new author for me. I'm not sure how to do a buddy read yet for the team, but thought I would throw out the option to anyone interested.
