Hey! I'm Martha too, but I guess for this challenge, I'll be known as Martha Two!

Always nice to meet another Martha, not many of us, at least in my part of the world.

Hi, Martha! What part of the world is yours? I'm in North Carolina.

Martha | 27 comments I'm in Saskatchewan, so actually there are lots more Marthas but they are all Hutterites, and so don't get out much.

LOL! They may not get out much, but that just leaves more time for reading. :-)

I guess you'll be having some rather long winter nights before long. That makes for good reading time, too.

Well, I only read 8 books in January, and so far in February I'm reading at about the same rate. I guess I need to pick up the pace a bit. :-)

I read 8 books in January, 10 in February, 14 in March. Getting a little bit better. ;-)

Donna (donnasmith) | 124 comments hooray! Hurrah! Snoopy Happy Dance!
I finished my 144th book for the year last night.
I'd love to hit 500 this year but that may be a bit too high a goal. I read 485 last year and the last quarter was bad for reading as my husband ended up with major medical issues that required lots of time spent nursing.
I might make it this year if things stay sane.

Wow, Donna, congratulations! That's amazing! I hope you do hit 500; that would really be something!

Nothing like big dreams. Still, you shoot for the moon and you might come up with a few stars. Happy Easter.

Well, I didn't finish my latest book last night, so instead of adding one more to my April list, I'll start on my May list. Still doing a little better on average, though. I read 8 books in January, 10 in February, 14 in March, and 14 in April. If I read at least 14 in May, I'll be on pace to reach 144 by the end of the year.

A little late getting my July list started. I read 8 books in January, 10 in February, 14 in March, 14 in April, 16 in May, and 16 in June, for a total of 78 books so far this year. That puts me 6 books ahead of schedule at the halfway point in the year.

I haven't been able to add to my list in a while. I only read 5 books in July and none at all in August. In late July my husband and I moved our offices to our home and put the building we had been located in up for sale. Also in July my largest local client had a major personnel change in their office which necessitated a drastic adjustment to my work schedule, leaving absolutely no time for reading. I was finally able to start some reading in September, but not nearly as much as I would have liked. I'll add books when I can, but I'm way behind schedule for the year. I really don't think I'll make it to 144.
