Given that there might be a few members of this group who are Aussie, I thought I would ask if anyone else gets annoyed when certain titles aren't available on Kindle.
It really frustrates me when I look forward to reading a book & then log on to Amazon & it's not available! The best thing about the kindle is that you can literally download a book in minutes.

What books can't you get? Are they available on kindle in non AUS countries?

Well I have an account with Amazon US, as I don't want to switch over to Aus. If I'm logged in and search for Empire Falls - Richard Russo, it's not available. If I log out and search again, it's there.

It must know what country you're in even if you're not logged in. I wonder if it's the publishers that control it or Amazon. I really just don't understand why they can't make all kindle books available to all countries!

The author probably needs a publisher in that country.

I had the same problem with some other books. I think the short stories in the Darkest Minds series. Empire Falls isn't available in the german amazon shop either.

I have no idea! But it's very annoying. Next reading challenge I'll have to make sure that all the books I choose are available on kindle, lol.
