I waited until January to open this up. I know many people are into Kay Scarpetta, so it’s nice to get a chance to read the first one.
I have started and am enjoying this book. I almost was going to pass on reading it, because I read another book in the series and gave it 2 and a half stars. But I like Postmortem alot better than that one. I guess there will always be some books that are better than others in a mystery series.Because Postmortem is written in the 1990s, it is a bit dated with technology, but the writing and the plot is good so far. I’m glad I decided to give it a try.
I'm about half way through the book now. The book really focuses on the facts of the case, rather than much in-depth character development of the investigators. There is alot of rehashing of the data in the story, which can bog down the flow of the plot a bit. I'm still liking the book and intend to finish it.
