Librarians: Q&A
Could we have just a small clue of the commitment for this challenge? Like is it one book a week or will one or more team members need to read more than one a week - or speed read in some way? Are there other things involved that will take time outside of reading? I love the mystery surrounding this but just a small hint would be nice, especially so one doesn't disappoint team mates by the challenge ending being more than we can handle.
Adding to LaurLa's plea - some idea what is involved will prevent disappointment to teammates if one finds it is too much for one. I'm new to this! Thank you!
It is very similar to the Ghostbuster's challenge in layout. You will go at your team's pace. The tasks will be based on episodes of the Librarians. You will divide up the tasks, each taking one.
The challenge ends when you either finish all 4 seasons OR your team decides they are done.
Season 1 10 episodes
Season 2 10 epiodes
Season 3 10 episodes
Season 4 12 episodes
Season 1 10 episodes
Season 2 10 epiodes
Season 3 10 episodes
Season 4 12 episodes

Just to check - when there is a task looking for all the letters of a word - title:subtitles and series names count for this, correct?

I fixed it in your thread.

Awesome, thanks! (newer group to me so I didn't want to assume)
The challenge technically kicks off on the 15th—but since it’s self-paced, early birds get a perk! Teams who’ve already checked in and received their tasks are free to start right away. 🏁📚
Hi, Donna, how are the reads to be distributed between the team? 1 task per person or however we decide each thread (like, a person could read 2 books this week and nil books the next one, etc)? We do have to read for each prompt for each episode, right?

Every episode has 5 tasks. Everyone should pick one task. Nobody should have the same task. The team will decide who gets which task.

You can trade tasks as many times as you want. Once you submit the completed tasks to me in the Artifact Vault, they are locked in. However, you might irritate your teammates if they read a book for a task and you trade them after the fact. So you may want to figure it out BEFORE you start reading.
Can we ask questions about specific tasks here too?The task about the brothers, does it have to be two brothers or it can be a brother and sister, for exemple?

Nope, for this task, it is all about the brothers.

Donna, for this task, do you mean the title or content? Read a book that starts & ends with a letter in SERPENT
As much fun as it would be to make you do the task the hard way... the intention was that the title starts & ends with a letter in SERPENT.

For Read a book that starts & ends with a letter in SERPENT, can I use the book Second Chance Swordsman 4? I would consider the ending letter either N or R if 4 is spelled out, but I wanted to double check.

You have made your case for the book so i will accept it.

For the "read a book with a crown on the cover" task would the "crown" of someone's head work? :) like in this:
Okay, and for the "read a book with a character named Flynn, Arthur, or Eve" task, does it have to be their first name?

In this challenge? They are the team captains. They should be tracking that all tasks are completed and a tracking post is made. They will then check in for the team. On the show, the guardian protects the library and the librarians.

Does it always have to be the same person? Or can we take turns?

I'm okay if you take turns. Somebody should be doing it each week. I don't care who.

For the "read a book with a character named Flynn, Arthur, or Eve" task, can it be their first or last name?
Hi Donna - for S1:E2:🦸Read a book where a mentor trains or guides a new group of heroes
Does this have to be a 'group' being trained/guided, or can it be an individual? Bit hard from the precis to work out if there are more than one involved in the training :)
Hi Donna, For brothers, is it okay if they are adopted brothers? They have the same last name and everything, they just aren't blood.
Is this more of a fun challenge or is there certain time frames the teams need to be meeting for the challenges? i.e. you have 7 days to finish S1E1 otherwise you are out.

If you can't tell how many are being trained, just assume it is a group. It can be two or more people being trained. I just need you to be able to explain to me how it fits the task and it needs to make sense.

They are still brothers.

No time frames. Just keep communication open with your team. Don't disappear. Check in often to let them know you are still alive and reading.

Ok, great!
I feel silly asking this... but I can use a book with the title Excalibur for the Excalibur task correct?

We don't have any rules against graphic novels here. We only have the 140-page rule and 3 hour audiobook rule.

Unless it says MC, it doesn't matter which character. I would think being lost in time would be just as lost as anywhere else. I would accept it.
