Please post here to nominate books for the January 2026 book-of-the-month (BOTM). We take 3 months to read all of these books, ... a season, not a month, but it will start in January. A memoir from a Sierra Leone man who was forced as a child to be a soldier. Expanding our horizons to different types of trauma.

I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings by Maya Angelou (1969)

A memoir contending with racism, rape, and trauma. Aside from the relevance to this group, this is considered a top-ranked memoir of any kind in the Goodreads lists.
