Be forewarned, this may sound like nitpicking. Ever since Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt came out, I keep confusing it with Remarkable Creatures by Tracy Chevalier published in 2009. The latter I have read, but every time I see the other title I get confused again.
Mostly I'm curious about authors using same, or in this case, very similar titles. What are the rules? And Van Pelt's book description kind of sound like she got the idea from Chevalier's book, and just got creative with it. AI refuses to admit that the other title even exists, lol, and so I tried rephrasing the question several times. (Originally I was just trying to find a review making a comparison before coming down this rabbit hole.)
Has anyone read both of these? Do they compare in story? in quality?
