I'm going to admit that I'm not super creative, so I used ChatGPT to help find some team names.

Hi Everyone! I'm a 50-something cat-loving bibliophile that has been married to my Prince Charming for just over 25 years. Currently 9 cats call me 'servant' (we foster for a local rescue). I live just outside the Kansas City Metro. I read anything that will hold my interest, regardless of genre, so I make a great pinch-hitter! With almost 11k books on my TBR, my list is both extensive and extremely eclectic! Just let me know what you need, and I'll find something that matches. I was caught up in a layoff at my job back in September and am still hunting, so I currently have a LOT of time on my hands to do some reading!

I test software for a living, and (like Charlotte) am not the most creative person... but I do have extensive experience with AI due to my work life. I had also queried AI (Copilot is my go-to) for some suggestions, and this is what it came up with for me:

I am excited to join another Team Challenge and working with you all.

I am a mother of 3 young adults, and an Empty Nester living in the state of Maryland with my recently retired husband. Like Deb, I am in my 50s and I also foster - we do beagles - currently we are dogless. I am a substitute in an elementary school. On weekends my husband (34 years) and I enjoy meeting friends at local wineries and breweries in the area. I enjoy reading suspense, mystery, historical and romance novels. I usually read at least 1 book a week, if the book is really good may be less. I also enjoy puzzles, so I am really excited for this challenge.

I am a Mom of a 2 year old. I am in my 30s. I am an avid reader reading mostly, mystery, suspense, fantasy, or young adult novels. I have read 2 books thus far this year and am almost done with my 3rd (I get a lot of free time as a stay at home mom.)

I am so excited to join this team challenge as I really like trying new things and reading any kind of book. I also love puzzles and riddles and the show the Librarians so I am REALLY excited for this particular team challenge.

That being said I love all the names that have been put out but wanted to propose my own (with a little AI help ;)):

Hi everyone, just checking in. I started a new job recently and I hardly ever get to check GR (web) and I hate the app. Thank you for forming a team and inviting me.

I'm Vi, I live in the Netherlands. My husband and I have 2 kids (12 and 7). I read romance, fantasy and sometimes mystery and suspense. I read 2 books mostly due to lack of time.

Not a creative personal at all so I'm glad you all have the name suggestions. My favourites in no particular order:

1. The Reading Renegades
2. Bound and Determined
3. The Eye of Ra Readers

Looks like we all have checked in so just need to choose the team name and start our journey to the "Vault"

Just another tidbit regarding time zones.

Looks like 3 of us are in the US and 2 are in Europe

My current time is 12:39 pm in Maryland which is in the Northeast.

I'm in Wisconsin so I'm in CST, an hour behind Mrs. W

who wants to be the team captain (guardian?) I would be willing to do it but I would probably only check in once a day. I dont want to be too pushy or anything. I also need to learn how to make posts.

Alright team! Our first challenge is here! I'm willing to fill in any gaps, so step up and claim your task!

I may be able to take 👦👦Read a book with brothers in the story, but I have to ask a question about adopted brothers in the q&a thread first.
Other than that, I don't really have a preference because the books that I'm planning on reading don't fit any of them, so I'll have to find something else to read no matter which task I get!
I'll let you guys know if my book works for the brothers task, if not, I can take whichever one is left over!

I just read a really good book with brothers in it Whispers of You it was a romance with a mystery suspense twist to it....that is my favorite read.

I have a book for two of the task:

I am thinking Serpent task will be one of the easier tasks... so if you can do the crown task Cindy that would be wonderful.
I'm trying to keep the easier tasks for Vi because she may not be on as often. Charlotte I'm thinking adopted brothers counts for sure but let me know what you hear back. Has anyone heard from Deb or know what she is reading right now? I will take the Excalibur task or the Character task since I think those will be the most difficult to find books for. let me know if thats cool with you all or if I'm totally over stepping.

I can definitely do the Eve task. I will also check on the excalibur now. When is our task due?

I think its due when its done? I dont really know. I think its a little loose but I'll check tomorrow. everyone has to do one task I think though. I can fill in gaps for sure. I also found out one of my library books has brothers in it so Charlotte if you want to do something else you are more than welcome.

I also followed up in Q&A for verification on timeframes.

I will take the character task - Eve/Arthur/Flynn. I can't find books for excalibur now. Hope that's ok..

wonderful. its gonna take me a bit to get to the Excalibur book but I should have that done by Friday as well. :) its not a race and I know some people are busier than others. Take your time and just enjoy your books friends.

I heard back from the q&a and my brothers counts, so I can do that task if no one else wants it!

I don't think there's a time limit, I think it's more that we go at our own pace...

I'll be done my book sometime this weekend (friday, saturday, sunday)! I'm starting it tomorrow, but I can focus on reading a lot to try and get it done quickly!
