In my opinion I think romantsy has great potential but the people who write ruin it. Like why do all the female characters the pov ones, and they always describe the males as the hottest men alive. If things don't change this genre is doomed.

If you can’t find the book you want, write it. Make the change. Save the genre. I do agree- most modern romantasies that get attention aren’t well written. I’ve found some recently that I liked- check out Isabel Ibañez and Stephanie Garber. If you want books with the boy’s POV, I have no recs. You’ll have to find those on your own. :)

I just thought of a series- Rangers Apprentice by John Flanagan. It’s more like just fantasy and less romantasy, but it’s really good.
