How do you actually leash train? I cannot get my dog to walk normally on a leash….

Sorry just now saw this! We’re not exactly sure. She was a drop off, but we’re thinking a mix of chihuahua, black lab, terrier, and miniature pincher. Maybe pitbull too

I have 3 different ways you can leash train her!
1. A training collar. A training collar is metal with little prongs inside the collar which when the dog pulls, he feels the prongs (It hurts a little) and will stop pulling. When she pulls then feels the prongs and stops pulling you give her a treat until she grasps that when she stops pulling, she gets a treat so eventually she'll stop pulling for good! I know this probably sounds cruel, but I have this collar and it's not like daggers going into their skin it's rounded edges and it doesn't dig into their skin!

2. Another way is a shock collar for leash training. It's kind of the like the same concept of the collar above but it's not.LOL
When she's pulling you press the shock button on the remote it will go to her collar and either beep,shock,or vibrate (It's your choosing) against her neck and she would stop pulling. Then you would give her a treat and do it over again! This specific has very good reviews. I'm going to be buying this for my dog to help him with pulling!

3.If you don't like any of the above, then you could try to use a harness with her. I'll put in the link below which one is best.
Have the leash snapped on the clip on the front of the harness so when she pulls it will spin her to the side and she'll eventually won't pull because she keeps getting spinned to the side. Always remember to give her a treat after she stops pulling!

Also, consistency is the key so taking her on walks every day or as much as you can will help with her remembering what to do until she grasps the concept! When she stops pulling always congratulate her and give her treats! I would suggest not showing her the treats before the walk because she'll be focused on them and not on the training! Thank you so much!! I really appreciate it! I try to take her on a walk everyday, but I don’t always have time or remember to, but I’m trying to be better at it! She has been doing a little better at pulling, but not completely so I will definitely try one of those! Thanks again! Also yes..how do I teach her to heel?

First does she know the trick "sit"?

So when your on a walk, stop walking make sure she stops to and is beside you.When you stop say heel and make her sit down. Then when she sits give her a treat congratulate her and continue walking. Do this over and over and again and eventually when you stop and say heel she'll stop and sit! Then later on when you stop she'll stop and sit down! Always make sure she is beside you when you stop and always give her treat!
