Shelfarians discussion

Hi all, I converted my shelfari export into a Goodreads compatible version, after many tries. I then imported it and it said it was still working on it. That was 2 days ago. I googled and it said it could take a long time. Curious how long it took your imports to succeed. Or, if mine is stuck in la-la land and I shouldn't expect it to actually process.

It's been too long since I did this to remember. What I do remember is only about 10% of my books came through, unfortunately. :-(

I don't keep my tbr here (that's over at LibraryThing), so I didn't worry about those. Slowly I've added some in as I notice they are missing. But I've been (somewhat) more vigilant about it over on LT. But my import to LT brought in the vast majority of what I had listed. But it was missing some tags and reviews.

ETA: But there are still some missing over there, too. I just don't have the time to get it completely up to date.

It’s been so long for me too. I can’t quite remember, but I know I had problems exporting. Took me a few tries and i may have had to go through another website (which amazon also bought and destroyed) to get most exported. But i know some books were missing and everything was jumbled. To this day, I still have some books from my shelfari to-read list that have been marked “read” after exporting to goodreads, I just havent had the energy to go through them all and double check. Also, all my tags from shelfari turned into over 200 bookshelves that took me a while to delete.
