Hi,

I had a pre-order canceled, which created a defunct page for the Amazon listing of the book: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

When I was ready to publish, Amazon told me to create an entirely new listing, but now that won't transfer to Goodreads, because the metadata already exists on Goodreads, tied to the defunct listing. This is the current book that needs to be listed on Goodreads: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0GGJ8R2WC

That book is already on Goodreads.

I'm confused. If I search for it, nothing comes up. There's the "ineligible" goodreads book I linked in my original post, which is tied to the defunct old amazon listing.

The new Amazon listing, that's tied to the actual book and all it's reviews, isn't on Goodreads as far as I can find, and if I try to add by hand, it says it already exists, because of the old listing.

If it's giving you that message, it should have a link to the book.

Or you could just search the ASIN.

Ok now it's showing up, but it wasn't a minute ago. Can the old one be deleted? Or can they be merged? Because there aren't actually two editions, so it's misleading. There's just old Amazon metadata.

You'll have to explain to support. Librarians cannot delete it.
