I am really looking forward to this one.

I am 47th in line on 2 copies at my library. :( Doubtful I'm going to make the end of February deadline! ;)

It’s never too late to read a good book!

Becky I hope you got to read part two. I love the surprises. I started late too. I missed the first library notification so I had to request it again. Sorry, I didn’t realize I was supposed to lead the discussion.

The writing is lovely. This book is a great mix of memoir, nature writing, environmental momentary, and more. She’s not a scientist by training but she did a lot of research. She corrects many of the misconceptions about hares. The varied focus keeps it interesting.
Just when I was wondering what more she could write about, she did what many authors do. She spiced it up with sex. I mean reproduction. The new leverets are all so different. What chaos!

The audio narration is also lovely, and there in an interview at the end. I curious to find out if she returns to her life as a political adviser,

So, I just finished this book, and loved it. Really enjoyed her writing style, and her observations about the hare, nature, and how humans can be better. I do wish there were pictures of the hare and it's leverets.
