1. On average, what genre do you read most? I tend to own and read more mystery then anything. I find mystery brings a little of everything to the table.
2. What is your favorite genre? I enjoy mystery, suspense, thrillers, and romance suspense.
3. What is your least favorite genre? I'm not big on the classics, chick-lit, sci-fi
4. What genre is your guilty pleasure? Paranormal romance, especially vampire romances.

4. What genre is your guilty pleasure? hmmm....Twilight series & Harry Potter (so a little bit of paranormal & fantasy)....even though I haven't read either yet, I know I'm gonna love them & continually read them!!!

1. On average, what genre do you read most? Lately it has been Historical Fiction, though I really read all genres and go through phases.
2. What is your favorite genre? I really don't have a favorite. I like historical fiction, biographies, thrillers, mysteries, true crime, urban fantasy, contemporary literature, classics, some young adult, romance, and even science fiction and science fantasy.
3. What is your least favorite genre? I would have to say cheap romances, like Harlequins, although I have gone through phases where that was the bulk of my reading, but not in a while. I used to say science fantasy, but lately I have been enjoying a lot more books in that genre. I will say though, that I don't like anything too scary, too gory, or with sex that is too graphic.
4. What genre is your guilty pleasure? I would have to say I have two guilty pleasures, one is young adult girls lit, like Sara Dessen, etc. The other is cheesy mysteries like ones by Diane Mott Davidson or the Puzzle Lady books. And true crime books. The more sensational, the better.

I love the vampire romance books. I am huge into them.

Who's biography was that (don't call me a crook?)

It was an awesome reprint that I won here on Goodreads. It was about this guy in the 20's and his adventurous life that took him from Europe to the States and then to Asia. I was surprised when I got the book that it even references the company I work for. Its pretty cool. Its a fun, fast paced book that really gripped my attention. I highly recommend it.

I don't know if I have a guilty pleasure when it comes to a specific genre. I do have a guilty pleasure for Joy Fielding novels. I am trying to read other authors, and I think my bookcase is reflective of that.

1. On average, what genre do you read most? This year in particular I've read a LOT of urban fantasy/paranormal romance-mystery. Generally speaking, if you put a vampire in it, I'm at least going to look at it! This is followed very closely by mysteries, both hardboiled and cozy.

2. What is your favorite genre? Lately it's urban fantasy.

3. What is your least favorite genre? Westerns & horror. I do read about everything Stephen King writes, except THE DARK TOWER stuff, but I don't really consider him horror.

4. What genre is your guilty pleasure? Pop culture bios! I love 'em! I'll read any of them...Guns & Roses, Motley Crue, David Lee Roth, Pamela Des Barres, Jenna Jameson. I've read some really good stuff in this genre, too, like I'll Sleep When I'm Dead The Dirty Life and Times of Warren Zevon.

Western's rank the lowest along with Sci-Fi, but I can't say that I never read them...

ROMANCE, lol! I always feel guilty reading them because sometimes the women are so subjugated that they should on some base level offend the feminist in me - but what woman, stanch feminist or the like does not secretly read a romance novel and want to sigh deeply?

I'm not so sure... Most genres, like coffee and some teas are an "acquired taste" and there are some Paranormal authors who are simply to dry for my tastes...

I think I am one of the only people on here who does not like vampire books, I have never read the Twilight or Harry Potter series, just not my thing.

I agree with Erin. Just because I don't like a genre doesn't mean it is bad, just not for me. Every so often I do like to read a book out of my comfort zone just to see if my tastes have changed. But I have found books in my favorite genre that I don't like. As long as you are reading that is good in my book!!

LOL glad you liked it. They are about the only kind of books I cannot stand at all. Everything else I can give a shot to if it has a good story but self help..well...just UGH!
