RM | 874 comments Apologies in advance as this question has no doubt been raised before-- but can someone please kindly clarify whether theatre programs would be considered book items on Goodreads?

On the one hand, they can be quite substantial, containing factual information on authors, actors and the historical background of the production.

On the other hand, they're essentially marketing brochures, and are in quasi-magazine format and don't have ISBNs.

RM | 874 comments Thanks Scott: can you kindly explain why not? They don't seem to be listed on the list of non-book items (though neither are they included in the list of books items)

Scott | 14508 comments To me they are clearly not books, but you'd have to ask support for a specific explanation.
