Jennifer (jml_417) Does the Nobel for Literature count? I hope not and I'm only asking because of Abigail's task (Odd Man Out).

Thanks.

Any literary award from 2000-2009 counts including that one.

Cynthia, I think Jennifer L. asked because (I think) the Nobel is awarded for a body of work, rather than a specific novel. For example, V.S. Naipaul won the Nobel in Literature in 2001. So, I could read a book he wrote in 1971?

Cynthia (pandoraphoebesmom) | 1332 comments I had answered this in the questions post - if an award is given to a person for their body of work you would need to read something they had published during 2000-2009 so that won't interfere with Abigail's task because anything published during this period is already out.

OK, thanks for clarifying.

Pollyanna (polly8) | 109 comments I am reading 33 Snowfish at the moment and the only award it won was the ALA Top Ten Best Books for Young Adults, 2004. I couldn't see this on the awards list on wikipedia so is it okay for this one?

Catamorandi (wwwgoodreadscomprofilerandi) | 37 comments Can it be a novella rather than a novel?

message 10: by Catamorandi (new)

Catamorandi (wwwgoodreadscomprofilerandi) | 37 comments Never mind. The novella is listed as a possible for the Hugo Award, so I am going to assume that it is acceptable.
