RRRC’s Cornhole Team ChallengeHole in One!
February 7, 2026 through April 11, 2026
Welcome to RRRC’s version of Cornhole! This is the reading version of the classic lawn game where instead of tossing beanbags, you will be attempting to get your book in the hole.
Challenge Dates:
Signups open until Saturday, January 31, 2026 at 6 PM US ET.
Teams Allocated January 31st after signups close, please allow several hours.
First Inning Begins on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at 6 PM US ET.
Last Inning Ends on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at 6 PM US ET, completions will not be accepted after this time.
RRRC’s Cornhole Team Challenge is a 9 week team challenge. Each week you and your team will be playing an inning of Cornhole. Innings will run from Saturday to Saturday at 6 PM US ET. Each player will need to read one book per week. Each inning 3 prompts will be given. Prompts will build in detail. Prompts must be compiled in order - the book has to fit the first prompt before you can add the second and must fit the first and second before adding the third. Second and third prompts can’t be done separately. Books must be completed within each inning, there is no carryover. Points will be tallied at the end of each inning. The teams with the most points at the end of the 9 innings wins.
Scoring for each inning:
On the Ground: Your selected book meets the first prompt - 1 Point.
On the Board: Your selected book meets the first and second prompts - 3 Points.
In the Hole: Your selected book meets the first, second and third prompts - 5 Points.

I will be tracking each team's completions and using the captains' tracking to confirm before tallying points at the end of each inning.
Captains, anything you can do to help is appreciated! Simply listing the completions with message number is great - links are not required, but always appreciated. 😊
RRRC’s Cornhole Team ChallengeHole in One!
February 7, 2026 through April 11, 2026
Captains, please reserve a few spaces for tracking.
Introduce yourselves to your teammates. Let then know where you are from, what your interests are in life and in books! Consider friending each other, that makes it easier to follow the goings on.
Your first task as a team is to come up with a team name. The theme is Hole in One and your team name should relate to that. Captains, please post your team name in the Q&A thread when you have decided.

Hello everyone! The following posts will be for tracking and quick rule posts to keep things all in one. If there's anything you'd like me to add/adjust let me know! I've sent out friend requests as well in case you wanted to message me directly! If you would like me to add some links to shelves or lists that might help narrow down a choice for each inning, let me know! Rating & Review
Hello team! My name is Stasi. I live in Colorado USA. As we all probably do, I read 99% romance or fiction with big romance subplots. I read pretty widely throughout Romance in the various subgenres, I end up reading like 50% contemporary in my year end stats, but my heart is in historical and fantasy.Outside of reading I'm a big crafter, mostly crochet, diamond painting and cross stitch. I'm a single pringle but do hang out with my sister frequently for board game nights/weekends! Also a big sports fan, but my tops are Figure Skating and Ice Hockey (Go Aves Go!).
Hello Team! I'm Raquel from Texas, USA. I love to read a little of everything, but dark and contemporary romance are my fav! I'm a mom of two boys who keep me pretty busy with sports activities which means a lot of car rides and waiting time for audio books!!Happy Reading Everyone!
My boss came up with Bean Bag Babes... thoughts? We can get a couple and decide from there. I also thought Mother Shuckers was funny when I did a quick google.
I love Bean Bag Babes! I am down :)Hi All! Sorry for the delay. Big deadline at work and I am barely functioning 🫠I am Mary. I am from San Diego, CA. Romance novels is my jive....current (5 year obsession) is Jane Austen Fan Fiction but i read it all. Pride and Prejudice is my fav. I love Disney and spend half my weekends at Disneyland and I like running.
This is my first time doing a challenge like this. My sister does the Bachelor challenge a lot and when she was telling me about this one I figured it was time to try one out. I am a mood reader but woking on trying to diversify from my JAFF addiction :)

I don't have HBO at the moment, but I'm hoping after the NHL season is over I'll have more tv watching time I'll sign up for a month or two and watch it.
I know we don't have the second and third prompts yet, but anybody have a list of historicals they are interested in picking up? I have too many ideas but I might lean towards an indie pub since a goal of mine was to find more indie historical authors this year.
There is a ton of historical romance books in here -https://www.goodreads.com/list/show/2...
And MM historicals here if anyone is interested-

How's everybody coming along in their read?I'm a little behind where I wanted to be thanks to the Olympics. With today being a break from figure skating and being able to watch the hockey games at work I'm hoping to get a good chunk done tonight after work!

Completely blown away by the Acting and direction! Books were good, but the TV was excellent. Loved it.
Thanks for the recommendation 😀

Raquel wrote: "Reviews are required?"Yes. I don't know if you normally do a written review but even a brief 1 or 2 sentence review would work. You could just do a "I loved so and so or this particular moment." It doesn't need to be too in depth.
If you do write full reviews you could copy and paste

3 stars - A fun read with spunky and high society heroine, Elizabeth, who conquers the heart of a mistrusting self made millionaire, Emmett. Great chemistry and cute dialogue between the two and a nice glimpse into New York City's Gilded Age.
