So as a team, we need to figure out some prompts that we can all agree on for books. Anyone have any thoughts on how we should start tackling these?

Four of a Kind - Read 4 books connect by a theme (i.e., found family).
Full House - Read 3 books by the same author and 2 books by different authors in the same genre.

Three of a Kind - Read 3 books that share one element (i.e., same setting)
setting: NY, Texas, California, mountain town, beach or profession: LEO, doctor, lawyer, ME, professional athlete, teacher
Four of a Kind - Read 4 books connect by a theme (i.e., found family).
my first thought was romance trope ~ friends to lovers or enemies to lovers or 2nd chance, but we may need ideas that work across different genres
Full House - Read 3 books by the same author and 2 books by different authors in the same genre.
not sure of everyone's reading preference to suggest an author for the 3 book
Small Straight - Read 4 books that gradually increases in page count or publication year.
I think either of these will be good, but maybe page count would be easier
Large Straight - Read 5 books in a single genre or series in order (i.e., #1-5, #1.5-5.5, #3-7, etc.).
If we choose genre: Romance, Mystery, Horror are my votes~ Although I think series since the numbers could work no matter the genre
Yahtzee! - Read 5 books that fit all one very specific prompt (i.e., books with celestial titles, books featuring libraries, books recommended by the same person, etc).
since yahtzee deals with numbers, how about a book with a number in the title?
I agree with a lot of your choices Shan!
Three of a Kind - Read 3 books that share one element (i.e., same setting) - NY, Chicago or DR, lawyer, professional athlete
Four of a Kind - Read 4 books connect by a theme (i.e., found family). friends to lovers or enemies to lovers or 2nd chance, found family or single parent (mom or dad)
Full House - Read 3 books by the same author and 2 books by different authors in the same genre. I read anything romance so I would probably be good. Maybe we give our favorites and then we choose from that. For genre, I would pick romance
Small Straight - Read 4 books that gradually increases in page count or publication year. I also think page count might be easier for this one
Large Straight - Read 5 books in a single genre or series in order (i.e., #1-5, #1.5-5.5, #3-7, etc.). If we go with genre, I would also say Romance or mystery/suspense, but I do think that series in order might be easier
Yahtzee! - Read 5 books that fit all one very specific prompt (i.e., books with celestial titles, books featuring libraries, books recommended by the same person, etc). I could go with a number in a title, or we could do something like books with a specific number of words in the title, or titles that are a certain number of characters?

Ok, ya'll. The spreadsheet makes this make so much more sense I think. I think I was overthinking how we would coordinate and post stuff.
The top portion, I think we should just take the spot that our book fits.
Then for the bottom portion, once we agree on what we are going for, that will also be easy to fill in I think.

I did try to make them super easy but you are always more than welcome to change it up so it's easier for you all to understand. The only tab you can't change is ... obviously the example.
Hey everyone! Just wanted to say i am out for work and will be checking in sporadically this week and maybe half of next week too.I am currently reading Daughter of No worlds and will update you once I am close to finishing if we are allocating tasks
Ok, I posted the two books I've finished and added them to the spreadsheet.
Is everyone ok with using page count for small straight?
Anything else we can lock down for the lower half choices? I can prioritize some authors if we choose that for one, or even genres.

Let's do some quick suggestions, maybe for authors and genres.I am able to do whatever we need so what you all enjoy is fine with me
I know that I'll be reading some Devney Perry, Rebecca Yarros, Stephanie Archer, Olivia Wildenstein, Eden Finley, Shantel Tessier, Piper Rayne, and Stacia Stark this month.
Genres: Romance, Fantasy, M/M, Dark Romance, Paranormal, Sports, Romantic Suspense, Small Town Romance...are just a few that I typically read.

I'm good with anything, I read a variety of different books so finding something to fit should not be overly difficult.

I'm reading The Last Letter for the BOTM! So maybe Rebecca Yarros could work!
I'll also be reading Rebecca Yarros! Also, Kristin Hannah, Nora Roberts, Karin Slaughter, Agatha Christie, and Tracy Clark
I don't know if this will help, but these are all the books I have available to read right now with some of their tagged genres + authors, so if anyone has anything with these genres/tropes/authors...just let me know and I'll read whichever ones will help first!August Lane by Regina Black Romance/Second Chance Romance
Wings of Starlight by Allison Saft Fantasy/Romance/Romantasy/Retellings
Partners in Crime by Alisha Rai Romance/Mystery/Second Chance Romance/RomCom
Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir Science Fiction

Small Straight - let's do page count since I think that's easiest
Large Straight - let's do series order
Now we just have to agree on the other three lol. I'll update the spreadsheet with these three choices

Yahtzee! - Read 5 books that fit all one very specific prompt (i.e., books with celestial titles, books featuring libraries, books recommended by the same person, etc

Amanda wrote: "Have we decided on what page count were starting with?"Could we just move things around as we get more books? Let's say I read a book that's 500 pgs today and put it there, but tomorrow someone read 498 pgs, both would work we'd just have to swap them on the spreadsheet? Or maybe the placement doesn't matter as long as we have book with page numbers that gradually increase?
Let me know if I understand the task wrong or if someone has a better way to do this.

This is exactly how it would work.
I just read one that's 232 pages so I'll put mine in here and we can go from there :)
Just kidding...I'm going to use it for #5 in a series :) Never mind, looks like Haley used that one, so I'll update the spreadsheet.
I'll put it under large straight, lol

I'll put it under large straight, lol
Sounds good! Do we decide on how much we want the page number to increase each book or is it just by one page? lol

Sorry, I can move mine to another place if you want. i'm working overtime like crazy because i'm taking two trips this month. I didn't check here before i posted. I can't update the spreadsheet for some reason.
Amanda wrote: "Sounds good! Do we decide on how much we want the page number to increase each book or is it just by one page? lol"
I don't think we need to get that specific. Just make sure that we increase the page count.
