Ready to meet Murderbot?

I read this awhile ago, and I thought it would be a normal science fiction read. I had no idea of how much fun it would turn out to be.

Initially, I was expecting a fairly typical militaristic robot story.

I went into the school library for our other February pick... didn't see it :'( but I found this! My colleague didn't realize our library had it, and he said the show was great, imagines that the book would be just as fun. So, a direction away from genres I usually read.

I expect an action, packed sci-fi adventure with elements of AI malfunction and possibly a robot questioning its mission and morals.

This has been on my list for a while and have always heard good things about it. Since I just finished the Expanse series (which took all of 2025 to complete), this is great timing for me to start a new series!

Kind of excited about this pick. It is way out of my normal genre reading. getting ready to start this today.
