RRRC’s Cornhole Team ChallengeHole in One!
February 7, 2026 through April 11, 2026
Welcome to RRRC’s version of Cornhole! This is the reading version of the classic lawn game where instead of tossing beanbags, you will be attempting to get your book in the hole.
Challenge Dates:
Signups open until Saturday, January 31, 2026 at 6 PM US ET.
Teams Allocated January 31st after signups close, please allow several hours.
First Inning Begins on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at 6 PM US ET.
Last Inning Ends on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at 6 PM US ET, completions will not be accepted after this time.
RRRC’s Cornhole Team Challenge is a 9 week team challenge. Each week you and your team will be playing an inning of Cornhole. Innings will run from Saturday to Saturday at 6 PM US ET. Each player will need to read one book per week. Each inning 3 prompts will be given. Prompts will build in detail. Prompts must be compiled in order - the book has to fit the first prompt before you can add the second and must fit the first and second before adding the third. Second and third prompts can’t be done separately. Books must be completed within each inning, there is no carryover. Points will be tallied at the end of each inning. The teams with the most points at the end of the 9 innings wins.
Scoring for each inning:
On the Ground: Your selected book meets the first prompt - 1 Point.
On the Board: Your selected book meets the first and second prompts - 3 Points.
In the Hole: Your selected book meets the first, second and third prompts - 5 Points.

February 7, 2026 through April 11, 2026
I will be tracking each team's completions and using the captains' tracking to confirm before tallying points at the end of each inning.
Captains, anything you can do to help is appreciated! Simply listing the completions with message number is great - links are not required, but always appreciated. 😊
RRRC’s Cornhole Team ChallengeHole in One!
February 7, 2026 through April 11, 2026
Captains, please reserve a few spaces for tracking.
Introduce yourselves to your teammates. Let then know where you are from, what your interests are in life and in books! Consider friending each other, that makes it easier to follow the goings on.
Your first task as a team is to come up with a team name. The theme is Hole in One and your team name should relate to that. Captains, please post your team name in the Q&A thread when you have decided.
I am ready to see how this goes. I had to look up terms for cornhole since for all of my childhood I thought it was bean bags. Terms we could try to work into a team name are Airmail, Woody, Blocker, Slider, Hammer and Four Bagger.
Sorry late check in was waiting to see if everything was set up. I promise I will not be late checking in books.
i'm very bad at coming up with names but the chapter chasers/ the tome tossers might work? Fully stealing this form another team im in that's using tomes for it's name lol
Does anyone have any other names?? I have no books prepped yet for this either but I'll grab something tomorrow!!

Review: Robby goes on the run after witnessing a murder, ending up in Flat Bottom as someone's mail order bride and Rowena was born. Trace, the local sheriff having stepped up to assist Rowena knows that there is something not right, but he knew he wanted to know more
I found this story whilst searching for a book to fit a challenge and I was intrigued by the title and what a pleasant read this was. I had so much fun reading this book. Robby/Rowena was such a sassy character and I laughed seeing him put Trace's brothers and Pa in their place. The relationship built up between Trace and Robby was passionate, however at times I felt so sorry for Clovis.
There was gunfights and gangs, with scenes so descriptive you could imagine watching it as if you were there.
I was enjoying this so much I could read more of Robby and Trace

Also, please note that your selection needed correction as well. For your book to receive credit for this inning, both the selection and completion posts have to be complete. Thanks.

Review
This was a really enjoyable and heart wrenching story all at once. The story follows Valinda, a teacher trying to bring education to the newly freed people. Valinda is a strong and incredibly written FMC, with a great sense of who she is and what she likes. The romance and relationship growth felt so real, and was a really lovely contrast to the civil war that had just come to an end in this

Review: For a young adult book there was a lot of questing and adventures. The gifts some people have are interesting to see being developed. There is a sequel that I would like to see where it takes the story. Overall, not my usually book, but enjoyable.

Review: I loved returning to the Chosen Universe and reading this has me wanting to go back to the start and seeing where it all began.
Victor as a Griffin, is good with figures and his organisation skills cannot be matched, but he cant plan when he comes across Oscar the building foreman and Gus a cute little red panda.
I love fated mates and add to that, Gus chose who he wanted, I enjoyed every minute. There was loads of aww moments and those nicknames my heart melted.
Loved

Review
I'm really unsure how to feel about this book. It was kinda predictable and boring at the beginning, but something still kept me invested... There was NO reason for Bernie to suddenly be over childbirth that quickly even with all the magical elements.
The random strip tease in the bar was WILD and made me giggle so there was that

How it Fits
1 - MPG Fantasy
2 - Kindle edition is 382
3 - from precis ...And they want my baby. My daughter is meant to fulfill some crazy prophecy related to the end of all magical creatures, but I’m having none of that....
Looking good we have all finished. Not sure what has happened to Gustaf, hope everything is OK and not sure what we do without the captain. I am happy to post the next Innings if that is OK with you both. Next Innings is Read a book that is MPG Small Town Romance, so I am going to start looking for a selection
