I read this in September 2025. Definitely want to get back to this series someday. Very worthwhile, and I hear it just gets better moving forward. Here's my short, spoiler-free review . . . . . .

I so enjoyed meeting up with Murderbot once again. I read this as a book in 2021 and now I listened to the audio book, which I highly recommend. https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

I agree. Have you seen the mini-series on Apple TV? Alexander Skarsgard portrays the character exactly as I see him.

Good points. I saw Xe as a male, perhaps influenced by the Apple TV series - which I saw before reading the book.
My Review : Loved All Systems Red! Murderbot is hilarious, smart, and surprisingly emotional.

Yes, I saw the show but I much preferred the book instead. I'm not sure why! : )
Soft DNF for me. The audiobook was a little whacky for me due to a constant tune playing in the background. I am interested in checking out the show on apple. Will i try to reread it before I watch it? Not sure yet. But the writing style wasnt bad and I enjoyed the humorous parts. I just dont think I was in the right headspace for this one right now.

That does sound distracting - music constantly in the background. I haven't utilized audiobooks for any in this series yet.

I didn’t hear any music in the background of there audio book I listened to, Deven. But I would have had an issue with that too! Know that there are other versions with no music in the background. I put the TV series on and saw about ;5 minutes before I got distracted. My husband watched several episodes and was enjoying it.
I finished the read. I did the Kindle Unlimited read version of the story. I liked it and ended up giving it 4 stars because it kept me engaged and made me laugh. My review was a little, eh...I wasn't sure what made me like it. I don't know if was because I could picture the actor that was on the front "display" of my KU copy just makes me happy, probably. But overall here is my review:I thought the amount of action in this story was great. The story is only 150 pages but action happened so often that it felt like every page had some.
I liked all of the characters. I especially like the way Murderbot explained why he was doing certain things.
I can see why this was made into a show.
My Review: https://www.goodreads.com/review/show... I enjoyed it so much I'm reading the next parts! :)
