Yes, thanks, I planned to post it, but with blackouts, it is problematic

Stephen Burridge | 1323 comments Sorry to read the reference to blackouts, I hope the hardships there aren’t too bad at this time.

Thanks, folks, I'm much better than a lot of people both in my city and in Ukraine in general. Yes, I had problems with power, water and central heating, but for me they were just hours, while other people I know cannot get access to them for weeks since the last massive bombing

We all hope things get better for you, Acorn!

Looking at that list makes me realize how little of the newer stuff I read. I don't delve into the magazines, maybe I need to do more of that.

I started keeping up with magazines in 2020 or so, but old ones - Analog, Asimov's and F&SF and a few years back, there were zero stories from them in Locus list (omitting Ray Nayler among others). Now they have a few, but they prefer newer magazines

Norman Cook (normcook) | 6 comments My hypothesis for why stories from the newer (online) magazines dominate is that 15-20 years ago voters were able to read, and thus nominate, more stories from the online mags for free. Then writers started submitting their best stuff to those mags because that was where the award winners were coming from.

I made a semi-serious research checking a few years and the drop was quite sudden. Just compare (if GR allows links)
2005 - quite a few Asimov's/Analog/F&SF https://www.locusmag.com/2006/Issues/...
2010 - none at all https://locusmag.com/feature/2010-loc...
