Were you immediately engrossed from the first chapter?

I'm waiting to get this from my library; it will be a reread.

I'm going to be delayed because somehow I ended up with a short, simplified version.

Oof it’s annoying when that happens, but that is okay

How's everyone doing with this? I put a hold on the full version, but don't have it yet.

I haven’t started it yet… I am in a slump and I’m worried if I try to read a classic it will make it worse

I started it like two days ago I think and I was only gonna read the first chapter and ended up reading 4. Although they are short chapters, I had to force myself to stop and sleep. I've been liking it so far, hopefully I'll finish it this week.

I am finally starting this book! I am excited. I love this story like I said before. I first watched the Veggie tales movie called, "The Penniless Princess" back in 2012 when I was a child. It was so good, I didn't even realize it was a book until 10 years later.

Just finished it! I loved it so much! I tend to like the classics. (My top 5 books are classics)

I'm glad you liked it! Our library is still closed after our snowstorm so I'm not sure if I'll get the book in time to read it before the end of the month. We had 30 inches and this area is not prepared for that much to fall at once. There are city/town wide parking bans all over the place, our street has only a single lane wide driving area and many streets are in bad shape.

Would you guys want to extend this months BTM? I haven’t finished it yet and I know some people couldn’t get the copy yet.

I’m in chapter 7, and let me just say, “poor Becky.” 😭 the way Miss Minchin treats Becky is just so sad. It’s when Sara asks if Becky could stay and Miss Minchin is so cruel to her. 😢

Yes, it is sad, but this type of thing happened (and still does at times.)
