I actually read several works that I rated FIVE STARS during January.Tough decision, but I'm going with THE LATHE OF HEAVEN by Ursula LeGuin.

That is such a powerful novel, even more so than the movie (American version).
For me, January's best was Denali's Howl: The Deadliest Climbing Disaster on America's Wildest Peak. I am a sucker for a good adventuring story, even one gone horribly wrong.
