There's a great way to promote your book on Twitter. Just follow successbooks and they will follow you. Then send them a direct message with details about your book and website, and they will post a great blog and tweet it. They have about 18,000+ followers, so the potential exposure is massive. They've just done my book 'A Time to Tell'!! http://twitwall.com/view/?what=070E04...

Thank you Maria, I would have to say the (freely) sharing of knowledge is truly unique between authors.Success one and all!
Yes, I think it's important that we all help each other, as authors. It's so hard to sell even one book, we could all use a little help!
Hi David, you have to wait until they're following you before you can DM them. Keep checking back. If you have any problems, let me know and I'll DM them for you.

Thanks for the address.
I am on twitter and strated a blog. My user name, I thought was origional, 'Malika's secrets'. The title of the blog is The Secrets of the Unwritten Book. The address that I had coppied down did not work and I have had trouble figuring out how to send anyone to my blog. So, I tried 'every thing'.blogspot. I ended up finding a video that I would not watch the content, with the same name , but misspelled. OOps! My blog tells secrets about writing the book, The Secrets of the Unwritten Book.
I will be blunt and honest. I am not computer savy! I am learning.
I think that this is my blog address. http://secretsoftheunwrittenbook.blog... Would anyone please be so kind to check it out and while you are at it, read my blogs and tell me honestly what you think? I am pre-writing while I have a bit of time before I hopefully sell my first copy. No body has read my blog yet. Any suggetsions how to direct interested people to it? The book, I decided, is paranormal/fantasy. Thank you so much! Malika

ok everything is working. FB too. coujldn't find your twitter though. Im @jgvra follow and I'll get a message and return it.So you wrote a book. good. And you got it pubbed. Author House? good luck. but that ain't the half of it. Now the work begins. you need to promote it. Goodreads is a good start. you need reviews, and eBook. Smashword it. Pays 85% royalties. You'll get plenty of help here. GR is the best writers site for that. Friendliest in the bizz. Just ask and someone or two or twenty-two will be right there. :)

I've just read the latest of your blogs, Malika. You seem to be promoting your book okay on it. But it's like you say - getting readers to read your blogs is the problem. I wish you success. Laurel
Thanks for this - I've been off GR for a while, and it's nice to be back. I'm not clear on what info successbooks need exactly - Maria, did you provide the review and they post it? ThanksGregory
Thanks Maria for the details. I will stop by and leave a msg. for them!http://twitter.com/bitsyblingbooks
Great tip, Maria, thank you.
Nothing to do with successbooks, but do be aware that anything you post on Twitter may get onto search sites.
A pirate hunter brought to my attention a site that posts all sorts of info about you, apparently culled from Twitter -- I don't know how else they might have obtained the impression that I was interested in gardening apart from a Twitter conversation I had with Deidre Knight about the best way to prop up wilting cucumbers!
http://www.spokeo.com/privacy
You will have to search spokeo (free) for your own name, and for that of your family members, and you will need to copy the url for "your" page.
Another site that reveals less, and is more cumbersome to work with is zabasearch.com You can get removed from there, too.
Best wishes,
Rowena Cherry

Thanks to Maria, I have now set up my own Twit Wall.
http://twitwall.com/view/?who=rowenac...
I see others of us have done so, too. How about all leaving comments for each other on each other's Twit Walls.
Do you think that would increase visibility and traffic? Anway, if anyone leaves a comment on my Twit Wall, I promise to reciprocate.

Hi! Thank you for this. I'm @TaniaLT or https://twitter.com/#!/TaniaLT. Let me know you're from Good Reads and I'll follow you back!

Hi Tania and others...just a gentle reminder or tip - do NOT put a period after your twitter name because it will just show up as a nonexistent twitter account.
For example: Here's what Tania left us for a link (but as you can see) it is broken - https://twitter.com/#!/TaniaLT.
For a functioning link that makes it easy for us to click and then click FOLLOW you must NOT include the period after the twitter address - https://twitter.com/#!/TaniaLT
There, now we can simply follow...:).
Have a wonderful evening and feel free to follow me at http://www.twitter.com/conquerall

I just began twitting and I am getting addicted to it. Follow me on my twitter account and I'll follow you back immediately.Twitter Link: http://twitter.com/#!/KelvinO_Ralph
