I've read The Book of Guilt and really enjoyed. Chidgey is a great writer.
Keen to read 1985, Wonderland, All Her Lives and especially Mr Ward's Map. I might buy the last one as a special gift to myself haha.

I plan to read Tracy Farr's Wonderland and Shaun Hendy's The Covid Response: A Scientist’s Account of New Zealand’s Pandemic and What Comes Next
I've already read and five starred Peta Carey's The Hollows Boys: A Story of Three Brothers & the Fiordland Deer Recovery Era. Recommended.
I won't read the book by Steve Braunias. I know people in Phil Polkinghorne's family circle who found his reporting nasty and unfair.

Well, that's interesting. I enjoyed Braunias's writing back when he wrote for Spinoff, but as I said he doesn't seem to like criticism & I don't want to be flayed on Newsroom!
@Erica. I haven't tried Chidgey yet. Just checking my library system's catalogue & they carry quite a few of her titles, including Book of Guilt. I'll try to get to one this year.

One thing I noticed is that every year more Aotearoa authors/publishers are recognising Goodreads as a valuable tool for publicising their books. I only had to add a few of the books myself.
Are there any that any of you are intending to read?
The poetry - it will probably what my local library carries, but I'm hoping one of the books will be Grace Yee's Joss: A History as I very much enjoyed her previous collection.
The other two jumping out at me are A Different Kind of Power (which I was already intending to read) & Hardship and Hope: Stories of Resistance in the Fight Against Poverty in Aotearoa. I'm thinking about the Polkinghorne title, but in the past the author has seemed overly sensitive to criticism.
How about the rest of you?
