Teenage reads should include teen characters, but a non-fic book, like a better riding book, might show photos of teen riders. The book should be more about people and horses, and less about statistics or rules. Obviously, this can vary, as older teens are likely to be job hunting. If you want, you can tell us why you find a book suitable for teenaged readers.
Rennie Goes Riding by Monica Edwards features a girl leaving school and looking for work.
Pony Jobs for Jill by Ruby Ferguson is similar but earlier in Jill's life, summer work.

We are now almost into the Year of the Fire Horse in the Lunar calendar. These are some books about horses called fire, or flame, or escaping from fire. Very annoyingly, a lot of the older covers have vanished. These are suitable for teens.

The books can be fact or fiction. You can count different books of the same series.
To enrol, you will be asked how many books you intend to read; it's okay to say one. You will be asked which shelf the books are on, and if you don't have one called horse, or challenge, or whatever you choose, Goodreads will add that shelf to your bookshelves.
When you pick a book, file it on the challenge shelf, and when you finish it, Goodreads sees the progress and marks it off towards your goal.
Authors are welcome to name their own books if they suit the topic, as they could read the books for the Challenge.
Have fun! For any help to sign up and shelve books, just ask.
