J.E. Ingalls | 5 comments Hello, I'm a first-time author looking for some guidance on getting my book on Goodreads. I added a request in New Editions & Books and heard back that kindles cannot be added. I'm a bit confused because I have a few author friends with their novels on Goodreads that are currently only available as an e-book on Kindle Unlimited. Can anyone help explain the precise process that I should go through or what I'm doing wrong? Thank you again for your help and guidance as I'm learning as I go! I appreciate all of you for what you do!

Scott Kindles import automatically from the US Amazon site. If it hasn't imported, or it is on a different country site, you need to ask support to add it. It is no longer possible for librarians to add Kindles. Same goes for Audibles.

James McAlpine | 6 comments I want to be a Goodreads Author. I see three of my titles here now Jasmine Jennifer McAlpine. However, I want to enter two new titles, that are currently published. The two titles are published electronically at my personal website. They do not have ISBNs. Are ISBNs absolutely necessary for new books to be added to the Goodreads collection? Thank you for your help.

Only if they will have them.

You can request books in the Adding New Books folder. Please read the instructional posts there first.

If you claim your author profile and have been admitted to the GR Author Program, you can add your new releases yourself.

You can claim your author profile by clicking Is this you? Let us know at the bottom of the page.

James McAlpine | 6 comments Emmy,

Thank you for the great advice!

Is it true, that I need to be currently distributing one or more of my titles to become a Goodreads Author? I was not sure. So, I asked the Goodreads Librarian to add my two new titles, which are currently being distributed to the public. I am waiting for a response.
