Thorbjørn | 24 comments This book is by Daniel Lipkowitz and I’m going to go out on a limb here and say that it was published a bit later than 1 January 1843.

It should probably be added or merged with The Lego Book

Also I’d like to have the Danish edition added to the list of editions, it’s called Lego Bogen, and can be in the Danish library website bibliotek.dk which I’m not allowed to link to. Almost as if the thing that made the internet what it is today is being disassembled.

Martina (martina_s_hlavou_v_knihach) | 15743 comments The first part of this request has nothing to do with adding new books / editions - if you want to update any kind of info or combine the editions, move your request to the correct folder: Book & Author Page Issues. This one is for adding NEW books/editions, not for fixing/updating already existing records.

Also - not to be rude but librarians cannot change the info based on a hunch, we actually need a proof that the required changes are actually necessary. We cannot change a publication date just because someone THINKS the current one is wrong. So when you move your request, please provide an acceptable source that would back your claims up.

Also, if you want us to add a new edition, provide all the relevant information we need as stated here: How to request a book to be added to Goodreads

Thank you for understanding.

Thorbjørn | 24 comments I’m sorry for being sarcastic about the date, I figured it would be obvious that the Lego Book about Lego wasn’t published long before Lego was invented.

I also apologise, but I don’t know how to move this discussion, unless you mean start a new topic.

Martina (martina_s_hlavou_v_knihach) | 15743 comments Yeah no, I get that - the database is full of entries that has incorrect information (most of those were auto-imported by Amazon bot which imported stuff left and right without checking if the info actually made sense or not), it just...
It is one thing knowing the entry is showing some BS info and actually doing anything about it. Changing the info when we do not now the real publication date is kind of pointless cuz what should we put there instead you know? It is against the policy to change info without verifying first.

Moving the threads can be only done via the desktop so perhaps it would be easier for you to just create another thread in the correct folder instead of moving this one.
