Spam and Bots
Authors are continuing to be hit with emails claiming to be moderators of various groups and wanting money to promote their book. This is a scam. We never ask for money for a BOTM and we communicate through Goodreads.

There are also numerous fake groups and fake members being created on Goodreads. Moderators are working to stay on top of this by blocking these fake accounts and reporting them to Goodreads support.

Please be aware that authors are getting emails supposedly from someone in a variety of groups stating that their book has been nominated for "X" or to be added as a Group Read. Of course, the emails are stating there is an administrative fee and wanting detailed information from the authors.

We continue to add more BOTMs as the year progresses. We have Q&As with three more top Authors lined up for the year: Joseph Finder, Carter Wilson, and Robin Burcell. At least one of their books has been added as a BOTM.

We also have something in the works for BOTMs that you can nominate. There will be more on that in the July broadcast.
