Red Queen VS. Powerless

How does everyone feel about Powerless copying Red Queen. No hate on anyone who likes this book were talking purely about the books themselves.

I personally loved Powerless and didn't love Red Queen at all. Even though they had similar story lines/scenes, it felt like 2 completely different stories, and I couldn't even believe that people were saying that Powerless was just a Red Queen copy!

Soap You're right, it isn't just a red queen copy. It's a red queen x hunger games x booktok tropes "touch her and die" copy. It's okay for new readers tho ...more

Powerless is better in my opinion. Kings cage got pretty boring.

Before I even knew about Red Queen, I read Powerless because it's my friend's favorite, and I hated it. The first book was okay-ish, the second one was so bad, and I couldn't finish the 3rd. It probably wouldn't have fished the second either if it weren't for my friend. The flirting was weird, and it was such a trope creamer. I read Red Queen after, and I loved it. The characters are so well written, and the plot has so much more thought and world-building.

Honestly, I love both. I recently finished reading the Powerless series, and I think it may be one of the best books that I have ever read. I am currently starting King's Cage, and so far, the Red Queen series also has me completely hooked. Personally, I don't think that Powerless copied Red Queen, but instead that both authors found a wonderful plot point which is why so many people love both of them.
