In other words speak plainly without sugar coating or being afraid or embarrassed to talk to God your creator. A friend once told me when you go to the doctor about whatever is going on, don't hold back. That's the time to "lay it on the table" to reveal what needs to be said to the doctor and what needs to be done. We should never be afraid to come to God boldly with our prayers and request, because His word says so. -

O my people, trust in him at all times. Pour out your heart to him, for God is our refuge. -Psalm 62:8
Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. -Philippians 4:6
So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most. -Hebrews 4:16
