Checked. Keep in mind that for Miss Scarlet, you need a female character who is unmarried for the whole of the book. If she gets married at the end or starts out married then is divorced or widowed, she won't work. But probably all of your Miss Scarlet books will have one. She doesn't have to be a main character.
Cold as Hell was first published in 2015, but that still works.

When choosing between your two options for the first book, I can tell you that The Astral Library would be a great fit for a 20-point task that isn't posted yet ;)

Checked as far as it goes - to 15.4. Starting as Mrs White, your last book will need to have Mr Green, Lead Pipe, Library.
From memory, if Ruby in Behind the Scenes at the Museum doesn't work for Miss Scarlet, there are certainly other female characters who do.

It was first published in 2022 and you need 3 steps or 5, 7, 9 etc. You can't do it with an even number.
15.2

Everything else is fine, and you have enough characters and weapons with the other books, so all you need is a book that fits the Dining Room and one that fits the Hall that will give you the right numbers of steps to get to your next rooms, as long as they work for some character and some weapon. But please make a new post with the new plan!

This first book for 15.1 seems to have been first published in 1995, but that still works for 6 steps to the next room.
15.4, No One Writes to the Colonel and Other Stories was first published in 1961, but that also still works because you can take 9 steps from the Hall to the Study.
So all okay, but please edit your plan to correct the dates and numbers of steps so they don't confuse us when you claim the books.

Nick, I'm worried that this book won't work for Oceania--as I remember, most of it was set in Japan (so, Asia). You're welcome to keep it here as is and you can correct me if I'm wrong, but I would hate for you to read it with this post in mind and find that less than 51% takes place in Oceania :-/

I've edited my list in message 25. But I've only gone as far as 4 entries. I am going to see if I can get that far before going on. ...if this is OK.
NickNow I see I'm supposed to make a new post instead of editing the old one. So here it is:
15.1 Starting as Prof. Plum in the Library
Let It Bleed by Ian Rankin
Suspect: Col. Mustard (police character)

Weapon: Rope (set in South America, author born in South America)
Room: Ballroom (1st and last inits in BALLROOM)
Published 1963
Nick, 15.2-->15.3 doesn't work as you have posted it. The Billiard Room to the Study is 14 or 15 steps. But if you go to the Conservatory instead of the Study, you can reach it indirectly with 9+1=10 steps, and the letters CY from Conservatory are in the title of the 15.3 book. Then you can easily reach the Ballroom, again by taking an indirect route, such as using a 9 to loop around the 3-step route. If you want to do this, you can just edit your post and let us know. It's fine to only plan up to 15.4 for now.
Anika wrote: "Rosemary wrote: "Checked.
