What’s yall opinion on dark romance?

I’ve only read a couple but love them! I need to read some that are on my TBR. What’s your opinion??

I love them too. But I’m not the biggest fan of comedy dark romance. Like nothing is funny about getting stab in hand on accident while being freaky😭🙏

I’ve been told the 2 dark romances I’ve read are dark, but to me they’re not really dark?
I want to read the mafia ish type ones

It’s called Lights Out a lot of people like it I’m just the outlier

Soul of a Psycho and Haunting Adeline (only 600 of 800 pages so far, I got busy and need to reread it then finish when I have time)

I LOVED HAUNTING ADELINE! I THINK ADELINE IS LOWKEY STUPID BUT I WOULD BE TOO FOR THAT MAN

And her reaction about the guy and the box of ‘gifts’ I neeeed to finish it but I’m already past the mirror scene. Buttt I think I’ll reread it and then read the next one when I can

Was it even really that dark though?? Like he killed for good

I think the dark part is him stalking Adeline and lowkey forcing his way onto her 🤷‍♀️ and it’s kinda contradicting/ hypocritical of him since he literally kills the same kinds of people who do that to other women. But again I’m not complaining Zade is so fine and he lowkey be clocking people’s tea

Honestly it wasn’t terrible considering she found out and TAUNTED HIM and loved it
She mentally consented to it, I see where it can be bad but personally I don’t think it’s too bad 😂 same with Xaden from Fourth Wing 😂

That’s what I’m saying girl was literally asking. And Xaden I love him he’s so sarcastic and blunt I aspire to have his attitude

She literally was like ‘yes’ and he just knew!
He was always wanting to consent with Violet and the whole ‘do I need to get the wingleader ’ made me DIE 😂🤭 like honestly the end of the first one was soooo cute with the trying to make up and love her again and gain her trust (I’ve only read book 1)

Oh my you need to get on the 2nd one ASAP it’s my favorite out of the three so far

For Fourth Wing? I’m waiting tell the 4th and 5th have release dates then I’ll continue with my pain 😢 ❤️

That book almost made me cry (and I’ve never cried over a book)
I’m also super excited to read the rest of the books, like dying but also know it’s for the best right now

I’m always crying in books for absolutely no reason😭

Like sometimes when I figure out the plot early on and I end up being right my eyes start watering for some reason just for being right💀

Aww, that can be a good thing! Books get me so worked up that I’m just ranting to people (even for good stuff) but I just don’t cry about them.

It’s ex’s dad…I’m actually debating a reread so if that helps then yay!
If you like ex’s dad then Chasing the Wild is soooo cute and bad but literally perfect (cowboy and hat…)

Also, Chilled and Thrilled, Kissed and Missed, Charmed and Alarmed are age gaps (smutty) …but super cute romances

You should read the Mindf*ck series. It’s very good not getting kidnapped by a fine man but still a good read and the books are really short
