Does anyone know if one can forward to another person the link to a free book through a link for Booksprout?

I haven't opened the link to the book so I think it can be still used by someone else, but want to be sure.

Thanks for your help!

I think Bookspout delivers books as "first come, first served".

I believe you can send that link to a friend who can claim the ARC if copies are still available.

That's what I was hoping. I bought a book and then recently was offered a free copy through Booksprout. It was a fun read and I'd love for someone else to get a crack at it.

Have you read Vain and Useless by Frances Reynolds yet? That's the one I've got the extra.

Yes, I have read that one. It is already published.
Odd that it is still available at Bookspout. Q&Q books usually go out pretty quickly.

I won the copy from Q&Q. I think that is why its still available.

But, I think I'll just put a note in here for anyone who wants to read it and will review it for them.

Howdy, all!

I have won a Book Sprout copy of Vain and Useless: A Pride and Prejudice Variation from the book tour. I was so enthused to read it that I already bought a copy. I'm willing to pass on my good fortune to someone else- and also the chance for the book to gain an extra review. ;)

If you can accept Book Sprout ebooks and would like to read it, message me either on Facebook or Instagram and I'll send you the link. First come; first served.

Melanie | 42 comments I tried to claim Vain and useless through booksprout but was unfortunately not successful. Do you think it would be possible for someone else to still review it because the review deadline was at the beginning of January? because you only have a certain amount of days for delay, otherwise you are not able to claim anything new. If that is not the case and the book is still available I would be interested 😊

Jen B | 190 comments They don't offer after the due date, Q&Q ARCs are usually gone within an hour or two of posting on BookSprout (as they only offer a few copies - my guess is less than 10 given the number of reviews list that they are free copies).
Create an account and then follow their team https://booksprout.co/reviewer/team/2... and you'll get an email when they post a new ARC.

Melanie | 42 comments oh yes, every time an E-mail arrives there is the thrilling question: am I still early enough to claim a copy 🤣

I think the timing of the releases means that those of us in Europe are normally asleep whilst the copies are being claimed 💤

Melanie | 42 comments Yes I think so, too. When I see them between 4 and 5 am after getting up they are most of the time already 2-3 hours out. Should still be working time in the US 😊

Impertinant question, but did you mean Book Funnel?

Not impertinent but I do believe that this was about BookSprout. Although bookfunnel is also an option, it's unlikely that a recent release from Frances Reynolds & Quills and Quartos was offered for free through BookFunnel - I'm pretty sure that would be against Amazon's Kindle unlimited conditions.

Bookfunnel links, if it's through the original offer link (dl.bookfunnel.com/ can be shared - if it's no longer valid (could be time expired or it could be number of copies limited), it will say so. If the offer is through an already claimed download link (read.bookfunnel.com/read/ or pr.bookfunnel.com/) will either grab it from the original requester if the file wasn't yet downloaded or claimed in their library or just won't work because it's already tied to their library. At least that is the way it is supposed to work.

Sophia said she won it. Those gifts tend to be given out via Book Funnel.
Vain... has been off Booksprout shelves for a while and are never a gift.

Hi Melanie! We can certainly give it a try if you have access to Book Funnel (not BookSprout, sorry) and see if the copy I won can still be accessed, Melanie! Just contact me through either my Facebook or my Instagram pages messaging and I'll get you the link. :)

Oh lord, yes, you're right. I did mean Book Funnel. Thanks, Sam. I wasn't paying close attention when I typed out this query. I get books through both and wasn't thinking. Ugh! Let me update my query.

UPDATE: Sorry everyone! Sam noticed I said BookSprout when I might have meant Book Funnel. I DID mean Book Funnel. So this whole discussion and question should refer to Book Funnel.

Soooo, same question. Can I give someone else the link to my won book so they can use it since I already bought the book elsewhere?

Yes, I have Bookfunnel, too. Most ARCs I receive through Bookfunnel have an date to expire, but I think you get an note before it does (because I get a note even if have already downloaded). If you haven't get any note, the link might still work.

I will contact you, thank you =)

Your safest bet is to ask the gifter/sender. Knowing our authors they'll probably agree. But I wouldn't assume...

I'll do that if this doesn't work for Melanie. Thanks, Sam!
