The sun rose just as they did every day bringing warmth and light everywhere it could reach. Though today a strange absence could be felt.
They searched their ray out to feel the familiar glow of the star who always responded, their star, though only received ghostly emptiness.
Frantic, they searched, though at asking around the millions of stars, only the sun had seemed to notice anything odd.
¨There are hundreds of us each the same," They all echoed to the sun. But this meant little to the sun because nothing-nobody was the same as they had been, their star.
Selfishly the sun began to wonder if it had all been a cruel joke, all to abandon them, though thinking back the sun knew their little star wouldn't have left them for simply nothing.
Moment by moment, day by day, the sun unrelentingly searched for their friend. They had heard the scoffing remarks behind their back, "All this for one star.." But the sun paid it no mind because even this seemed inconsequential. No too high a cost to shine with their star again.
The sun, well, they knew their search would turn up void, because they knew what happened despite not wanting to accept it.
Their little star burnt up just like everyone does in time.
Despite this, every day the sun shone a little dimmer, searching in the unknowns to fill the dull gap where their star used to settle in their soul. Though, as we all know, the sun is also a star.
After so long of watching so many fade, coming and going, they were simply- exhausted. A dim, empty sun has little use besides taking up precious space. Yes they still had a job, a use, though nothing was the same. As the stars watched with confused glances, some with teary eyes and mixed demeanors, the sun simply faded out with one last strong burst of radiance. The void with open arms welcomed that one last radiant star into its dull embrace.
Extra quotes
"You are the sun who outshines us all, why do you even bother for one measly faded star?"
"You have shown me true light unlike any of the entire cosmos. You have filled up the dull gap inside my void soul. I would notice your shine no matter how dim anywhere."
"There are hundreds of us all the same, what difference is one star?"
"None has or will ever shine as bright as they did, that star, my star."

I do love it, oh so much <3"thank you, I felt slightly silly while writing it as If it made no sense, but still- thank you <3
that's so beautiful, reading it literally broke my heart (in a good way) <3 it's touching, is a good way to put it
And they say all things pass with timebut I know in this life of mine
this is the cut that always bleeds
the red stained hands
thee forever crime
the risen skin
the hospital bracelets
as unattractive as it may seem
no one could deny
the way the sirens sing
atleast, I couldn't, I cant
as one might try
failure seems to always succeed
you're trying to win the fight
and you try with all your might
and yet they have won
how to persist
how does one go on?
When the light at the end of the tunnel
seems gone.
