This season, we're celebrating authors born in 1926 - a bang-up birth year for award-winning authors. In honor of winners John Updike and Hilary Mantel, read any book which has won a NBCC Award (any category).
You can find the list at Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nationa... and click through to the different categories) or scroll through the list here.
Winners only, no nominees/finalists.
When claiming, please say which category and year your book won.

20.2 PEN Awards
In honor of winners John Updike, John Fowles, John Knowles, and Jan Morris, read a book originally published in one of the languages (other than English) that gives PEN awards other than for translation: Spanish, Portuguese, Hungarian, German, or Norwegian.

20.3 CWA Diamond Dagger
In honor of lifetime achievement winners Ed McBain and H.R.F. Keating, read a book from a series that has at least 10 books.
To calculate the number of books in a series for this task, we will count any .5 etc books listed in the GR series page. Upcoming books will be counted if they have a title and description in GR.

20.4 SFF Hall of Fame
In honor of Philip K. Dick, Anne McCaffrey, Richard Matheson, and Poul Anderson, read a book by an author who has been inducted into the Science Fiction and Fantasy Hall of Fame: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Museum_...
