Loud rain sounds and closed blinds/curtains in my room when I’m reading a required book that I didn’t choose.
Honestly, I usually have 3-4 books that I am reading at a time. I always have one or two e-books to read on my phone/kindle/computer, one shorter (200-350 page) physical book to read when im lounging at home, and one audiobook (usually a non-fic or classic that i find boring to read but interesting hear) to listen to while driving and getting ready. Having multiple options usualy helps me read faster because if i get tired from one book i dont have to just stop reading all together, I can just switch over to a different one. Reading like this helped me hit 125 books last year (even with a reading slump from feb-july) but I also know its not for every one!
I'm not a very fast reader, but I always read 2 books at the same time: one that might be hefty and needs some time to read, and the other one, lighter and less serious. That's the balance I need, but try different methods and find what suits you! Reading slowly is okay, too! It's nife to be mindful and contemplate everything.
im only 15...but i read a LOT!! I got a kindle for christmas and the very first week i had it i read a book ever single day. I think the first book i read on there was haunting adeline by hd carlton and OH MY GOSH that was a good book i gave that book a 5 star rating and the second one a 4 star. Highly recomend that book series.
This year one of my resolutions was to actually pick the hobby up again and as a mom I have to be super mindful of what I do with my free time. I will read 3 books at once, a physical copy (which usually takes me the longest), an ebook for when my baby is napping/in bed in the dark/on the go, and an audiobook to put on when I’m driving/cleaning/etc. I was an ebook hater for a long time but it’s the way I get through most books especially with a digital library card!
i read more when i have school somehow; basically i read during class and finish work as quick as i can and then i read during lunch break and when i get home i do all the stuff i need to do first and then read until im tired; reading fast paced books and speed reading tips really help. i read like a good 400 pages a day and over half of that is at school becuase im there 8 hours
I can have spotify open at work so I usually just listen to an audiobook most of the time while I'm working. I also have a kindle and I love it! I sometimes get intimidated by the size of a book but on the kindle you can't see how big the book actually is and I tend to try and race the timer haha.
I honestly just think I have an addictive personality and once I start a book, even if it’s bad or I don’t like it, I can’t stop like I have to finish it lmao
i don't really wanna read on my kindle rn, i have no books physically i wanna readddd and im too broke to buy booksssss
I have been backpacking for past half a year, so i try to read as often as possible on my kindle, but i sometimes feel way too lazy or ovestimulated to read. And audiobooks dont work on me as i just drift off in my mind. But i will try the few books method - one for easy read, one a bit more complicated

At home, when I finish what I have, the last three hours before bed I sit and read. Read when you feel like reading, don't push yourself too hard. It should be enjoyable ❣
I wish I didn't work so much so I could devote more time to reading! I might have to try the multiple book method, but I get very emotionally attached to each book, so I have to allow myself to feel those feelings one book at a time lmao
i throw some reading background noise playlists on my headphones and then dive in! the constant noise in the background thats soothing seems to be helpful!
I tend to read a mixture of long and short books, along with a change of genre. I find this helps to keep me engaged when reading as well as working through a larger quantity. I rather enjoy reading poetry, and tend to pick up poetry books under 100 pages which I use as something of an ice breaker in-between novels, novellas and any other books.
