Worrying About the Wrong Things. -Sometimes we worry too much about other people's opinions, past mistakes, and uncontrollable future events. Here's part of a serenity prayer I love saying, "God grant me the serenity (peace) to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference." This prayer has a special meaning for everyone. -
Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.-Proverbs 3:5-6 “That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing? -Matthew 6:25 “So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today. -Matthew 6:34 Look at the ravens. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for God feeds them. And you are far more valuable to him than any birds! Can all your worries add a single moment to your life? And if worry can’t accomplish a little thing like that, what’s the use of worrying over bigger things? -Luke 12:24-26 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. -Philippians 4:6
