You may only stay at the luxurious resort for a week every season, so that it remains special.

Maximilian did adore to swim, especially since his mother had made him practise for at least an hour or so each day of his life. Due to this, he had grown into an excellent swimmer. So Maximilian arrived at the pool quite happily with a large bag full of pretty much everything he was sure he was going to actually need for this event, which may just have been swimming or sitting by the pool or whatever, but that wasn't the point. He was currently wearing his black swimming trunks with the silver trim which were his absolute favourites (because when he had swum in competitions he had always won with those and his mother said they brought him luck or something like that). They also happened to have his initials embroidered on them in the same silver thread, just like pretty much every other item of clothing Maximilian owned. His mother always ensured that whenever she had something made for him so that it could easily be identified as his, because his initials of M.P.C.I.D. were rather long and few were going to mistake them for their own. She also thought that it gave whatever he was wearing a particularly sophisticated look to it. With regard to his thin white polo shirt, he had only pulled it on momentarily, so that he could easily remove it when he had decided it was time to actually swim, which he didn't plan to do just yet. Instead Maximilian had decided to survey the scene a little beforehand and see whether or not it was worth swimming. Sunbathing was, of course, always rather important.

Maximilian calmly walked over to a seat in the shade and sat down. In the shade because he was really very pale and he did burn rather easily, not to mention he disliked having to smother himself in sunscreen before having to swim. Of course, he had brought some with him anyway, in his large bag, but he didn't particularly plan to use it just yet. It was more for emergencies. Speaking of his bag, it currently contained his aforementioned sunscreen; two towels that did match his swimming trunks, although that had been thanks to coincidence rather than to planning, seeing as everything he owned did have some sort of colour scheme to it and this was usually black and silver, not to mention the initials; a fresh pair of white shorts to change into later; a pair of sandals (not that he was really planning to wear them just yet, but he liked the precaution); and his sunglasses. These sunglasses Maximilian now removed from the bag and placed them over his eyes to shield them from the incredible sun that day. He did rather like his sunglasses because they were ever so pretty and they had been ever so expensive as well, seeing as his mother had ordered them especially from Gucci. She had a thing for designer clothes, to be honest, not that Maximilian minded one bit. He was rather happy with it, to be perfectly honest.

So now that all of his issues were dealt with, Maximilian ran a hand through his hair and then pulled out his phone, deciding that that had to be more fun than anything else at the moment. He wasn't really in a very active mood today.

Eva lay basking in the sun, with large sunglasses propped up on her face, pushing away hair, when she spotted the rather vile Maximilian. She sneered, and adjusted her bikini straps, and sauntered over. "What are you doing here?" She demanded. "I was here before you!"

People had always joked that Maximilian and Evangeline would eventually end up together despite constant and incessant sparring, but she had always written them off as deranged. It would never happen!

"I don't care," Maximilian answered as soon as she saw Eva starting to complain at him about having been there first. He was here to relax and therefore he was planning to relax no matter what, so he didn't need her whining at him. It wasn't as though he was choosing to sit next to her or anything and, anyway, he wasn't too happy about the situation. "I may do as I wish. Mummy said so." He frowned at her once more and then closed his eyes, deciding to ignore her as she came over. It wasn't his fault she was being so difficult about things. "I'm sorry, did you want something?" he asked after a moment or two.

"I want you to LEAVE." She demanded, sticking her nose in the air. "Besides, what do you do here?"

[ Urgh, I just didn't set any reminders for this and never saw anything. I'm so stupid sometimes. ]

"Well, I don't wish to leave," Maximilian replied, rolling his eyes at her pathetic attempt. "I'm here because I wish to relax, and therefore I shall enjoy myself without you interrupting my day."

"I'm not interrupting anything!" Eva scowled, sulking off.

"You are interrupting my moments of relaxation," Maximilian commented in some frustration. "And I do not like it. Why can you not go elsewhere?"

"I am! I can't stand your albino face!" Eva screeched, walking away.

"I do not have an albino face!" Maximilian shouted after her as she walked off, annoyed even by the implication. "I have a beautiful face!"
