Just started this. The pronunciation of Eyre was amusing. Right on point for this show, which I still love.
Oh, I feel the very carefully phrased statement about how long it took Tom to finish the book, is the closest thing we will ever get to Tom "hating" a book 😅 Therefore I will claim I am having prophetic dreams because I dreamt about the podcast before the episode and in that dream Tom (played by Wil Wheaton) actually "hated" a book. The fact that this dream book was was called "God-Empress of the Jade Sea", I will ignore! Just like the fact that my subconscious is not very creative 😅
Disclaimer: I am NOT saying Tom hated the book! I just though it was funny 😉
How did Tom and Veronica go thru life and missed all the Jane Eyre adaptations? if you got 2 to 5 hours YouTube has a few of the Jane Eyre films and Mini series, 1943 version with Orson Wells, Joan Fontaine and Agnes Morehead is there !!!! And since you can't go a decade or so without a new version, Netflix has one planned with White Lotus' Aimee Lou Wood as Jane.
