This is one of the few King books I've never read. Excited to finally read it!

I read this one a very long time ago... I guess its time to do a reread.
Cool, am reading the lot in order and this just happens to be next.
This is a good one. The movie's not bad, either.
Made it to page 67. Many weird things have happened and I feel so bad for the little girl.
This will be my third read of this book... Absolutely love Charlie and her Dad. King writes relationships really well.
That whole scene at the farm was super cool! Just love Charlie 🔥🔥

Pretty sure I read this back in the 80s, but I'm not positive. I enjoy the old cultural references, often thinking, "oh, yeah, I remember that ___." I'm curious if younger readers miss a lot, most or all of them, or google it up to see wth he's talking about, or just think, "there the boomer goes again." About halfway through now and glad I joined this read!

For example I had to Google Thalidomide. I had no idea... sounded pretty awful.
I'll be joining thsi read and start reading it today! It's been on my shelf for a bit and now I have some motivation to actually read it! :D
My book is on order. It was tough to find the copy I wanted and I bought it used. Can't wait to read/discuss with everyone! :)
Starting tonight... had to wait for hold to come through at library.
I've read it in december. Still remember the ending. It was so intense, I couldn't put the book down.
I must say, I had some trouble getting into the story, the beginning throws you right into it. But now I'm at 15% - ish and I'm enjoying it a lot!
Enjoying the book but it's rather sad to read just how much things have changed in our world. No way would they have stayed free in today's world of digital surveillance. Nor would people today have so easily helped them esp. with little questions.
Read it. I always felt this one of King’s best books out of his older library. Rainbird is ominous and I always felt the newer king release The Institute was somewhat of a tie in to what the government was still persisting at getting out of all these children thay have various forms of The Shine. Wish he’d give us an adult Charlie.
