The Kingdom of Perin
---
Reputation:
“The Crown of Order”
Royal banner: A golden lion over crossed keys
Geography:
Central Vaeloria
Wide agricultural plains
Major river: The Goldrun
Capital city: Valmere
Well-mapped. Carefully maintained roads. Watchtowers at all borders.
---
Size:
Largest kingdom on Vaeloria.
Several duchies under one High Crown.
---
Climate:
Temperate and stable. Predictable seasons.
Symbolically reflects their structured worldview.
---
Royal Structure:
Ruled by:
King Danokh IV of House Vaelor
Their rule is based on law, not divine right.
---
Government:
Parliament of Nobles
Merchant Council
Intelligence network called The Silver Ledger (they collect secrets across kingdoms)
---
Magic:
Official stance:
“Magic is superstition.”
Unofficial truth:
The royal family quietly employs a small secret magical advisory circle known as The Veiled Cabinet.
Magic was outlawed 80 years ago after a magical uprising known as The Ashen Revolt.
Religion: Believes that structure and order = good, has one god
---
Military:
Massive standing army
Heavy cavalry
Early mechanical innovations (clockwork siege engines)
---
Culture:
Education highly valued.
Public debates common.
Fashion more structured — tailored coats, military influences.
People are politically aware but geographically sheltered.

The Kingdom of Thesidour
Reputation:
“The Last Wild Kingdom”
Royal banner: A silver stag beneath a crescent moon.
Geography:
Western Vaeloria
Dense enchanted forests (The Briarwood Expanse)
The Silvermere Lakes (mist-covered and said to move)
The Skyfang Mountains (home to gryphons and ancient shrines)
The land itself is alive. Roads shift. Trees whisper. Maps are unreliable.
Size:
Medium-sized but feels vast due to untamed wilderness.
Climate:
Mild but unpredictable. Sudden magical storms. Bioluminescent plant life in deep forest.
---
Royal Structure:
Current Rulers:
King Alric Thornevale (aging, once a warrior)
Queen Seraphine of the Greenwood Line (rumored to have fae blood)
Royal Line Belief:
The monarch must be “Chosen by the Land.” At coronation, the forest either blesses or rejects them. No one knows how this works — but it always has.
Heir:
Princess Elowen — rumored to speak to animals.
---
Magic:
Common and visible.
Not flashy spell-casting — more old magic: wards, blessings, shapeshifting myths.
Hedge witches are respected.
Knights carry enchanted blades passed through bloodlines.
Magic is tied to land and blood, not study.
---
Religion: Respect nature, has several deities
Military:
Smaller but elite.
Forest Rangers (move unseen through woods).
Gryphon Riders (rare, semi-mythical).
---
Culture:
Old-fashioned clothing (velvets, embroidery, cloaks).
Storytelling is sacred.
Hospitality laws are magically binding.
Arranged marriages are common, but breaking betrothals causes literal magical backlash.

Story of my novel (Honor)
Based in Perin. Young king Danokh dies, electing his best friend, the duke, named Ciprys, to be king in his place. The only stipulation is that Ciprys must marry Princess Phallia, Danokh's old fiancee, to seal the deal. Only two problems: Ciprys and Phallia hate each other, and Ciprys had his own fiancee, Malynes.
Can Ciprys and Phallia work together if only for their late friend's sake?
