Join like-minded readers and writers here in the Closed-Door Club, a small living room in a mansion (Goodreads Library) of many other reading niches.

This is our corner for stories where the feelings run deep without sexual content on page.

We’re glad you’re here.

Here we enjoy and discuss:

• Closed-Door Romance
• Fade-to-Black Romance
• Sweet Romance
• Christian & Inspirational Romance

Members are welcome to:

• Discover new books
• Catalogue their favorite books
• Share recommendations
• Participate in events
• Meet authors who write closed-door romance

Seasonal events and community promotions (like our Spring Closed-Door Romance Sale Week) will also be hosted here.

Amber Jakeman | 2 comments Thank you very much to fellow Aussie author Jenny Rae for introducing me to this closed-door romance group, and to all of you for the opportunity to join!
I write heartwarming, feel-good fiction - about hearts and hope and the power of love - because your heart matters.

Jo-Anne Duffett | 3 comments Hi everyone 👋

I’m Jo-Anne, joining from South Africa. I’m a long-time romance reader—especially anything slow-burn, clean, and with a strong sense of adventure.

I also write in the same space—stories where the romance builds gently and the focus stays on connection, character, and journey rather than spice. My current work includes a time-travel romance that blends science, history, and a bit of wonder.

Outside of books, I’m a sports and exercise medicine physician, so I spend a lot of my time working with athletes—which probably explains my love for resilience arcs and determined characters.

I’d love to know: what are your favourite closed-door romances, especially ones with a strong adventure element or unusual settings?

Francesca Spencer | 3 comments Hey everyone, 🥰

Thanks, Eleo, for hosting this fab group.

I'm Francesca Spencer and I write clean sweet romcom loaded with giggles and swoon because real-life always needs more of these things.🤣🤣😂

Currently enjoying an amazing UK springtime.

Oh, the blossoms and blooms make me want to write a gorgeous funny romance.

Excuse me for a minute. I have to go fire-up my laptop.

Francesca, you had me at blossoms, blooms, and firing up the laptop.

I fully expect a book so charming it makes daffodils blush just from reading about your kiss scenes 😂

and... you're welcome :)

A sports‑medicine physician writing slow‑burn time‑travel romance? This might be my cure for all things romance :)

Nice to meet you!
Please continue blending science, history, and swoon, closed-door fiction are the best!

Also yes, we absolutely need a list of adventure‑rich closed‑door romances.

Any author who writes about hearts, hope, and love automatically gets VIP seating in this group. Jenny Rae clearly has excellent taste :)

Thank you Jenny!
