Hi! My books are published under Annie Taylor, but my Goodreads author profile currently shows Annie Taylor Murtagh.

Could my author name please be updated to Annie Taylor so it matches the name on my books?

I attempted to update my author name, but I receive the message that only users with librarian status can edit author data.

So unfortunately I’m not able to change my author name myself.

Could you please:

Update my author name to Annie Taylor
Move my books from the other Annie Taylor profile to this one

I don’t have access to the other profile, so I’m unable to make those changes myself.

In general authors shouldn't make changes to their author names themselves. It's best that they ask first.

The name shown on the cover of your book A Deal Worth Breaking is Annie Taylor Murtagh, so that is a form of the name we need to keep.

You have two options:

1. We can move your Annie Taylor books to your existing Annie Taylor Murtagh profile. This is possible because more complete author names are allowed, as long as they contain the full shorter credited name used on the books.
2. Or we can create a separate Annie Taylor author profile for you (with the books written under Annie Taylor, and updated covers of A Deal Worth Breaking), which you can claim through the Author Program to become verified. It is possible to verify both names using separate accounts.

Please let us know which option you would like to proceed with.
