okayy so I sometimes write down thoughts in my notes app when im feeling particularly insomniac, so please keep in mind that whatever i put on here is probably just the result of a really tired mind :)

“scales of lies”

Narratives coil like serpents
choking the truth
hissing their lies
until they are all we hear
and the truth falters
the truth is lost
to the twisting and turning
to the ever shifting
glistening scales of lies.

i love that so much
the metaphors are so peak

I get writers block a lot. In my opinion, the best way to inspire my writing is reading other poetry or books, sometimes just writing about what I did that day will also get me into it enough to write more.
